Wasatch Collect for iPhone
Use the app for your computer, enter your connection code, then connect one unlocked iPhone by USB. Approve Trust and passcode prompts on the phone. Your operator has already chosen the collection scope.
Wasatch Collect for Android
Install on the Android phone being collected. Open the downloaded APK and approve installation for your browser or file manager if Android asks. On a managed phone, contact your IT team if installation is blocked.
Before you start
iPhone with Windows or Mac
- On Windows, install Apple Devices if the app reports missing USB support. On Mac, open the disk image, drag Wasatch Collect into Applications, then open it. Check the Mac requirements shown above.
- Enter the nine-digit code from your operator, with or without dashes. Connect and unlock the phone, then approve the prompts. If an existing iPhone backup password is requested, enter it in the app; do not reset it.
- Keep the phone connected during collection. The app tells you when you can disconnect it. Keep the computer online and the app open until delivery is confirmed. Reopen the app to resume an interrupted upload.
Android
- Enter your connection code, review the requested sources, and grant the permissions needed for those sources.
- If WhatsApp / WhatsApp Business, LINE or KakaoTalk chats are requested, export each requested conversation from that app and share it to Wasatch Collect, or choose saved files. Confirm Add to collection and repeat for all requested chats before starting. Follow the in-app media instructions; exports may omit history or attachments.
- Start collection and keep the app open and online until delivery is confirmed. If a source cannot be exported, use the app’s help or unable-to-export option so your operator can see the gap.
Connected iPhone desktop apps remove local collection files and saved recovery credentials after verified delivery. Android keeps local copies in app storage. Collection covers accessible requested data; it does not establish a complete capture of every phone or app. Contact your operator if you need help or have questions about retention.
